The Portes du Soleil is the largest linked area in the world with 12 resorts offering you 650 kms of open slopes & forest runs intertwined across the borders of France & Switzerland, ensuring that skiers and snowboarders of all abilities have the ultimate alpine experience.
From the centre of Morzine the Pleney gondola whisks you up to the Morzine-Les Gets ski area, with gentle wide slopes, ideal for beginners or to the north face of Mont Chery for those more advanced.
Alternatively the Super Morzine gondola provides you with easy access to the high altitude resort of Avoriaz and access to the Portes du Soleil circuits and linked Swiss resorts. One lift pass covers both countries.
For snowboarders – Avoriaz is the ‘mecca’ with snow parks, snow crosses and a half pipe – a genuine paradise.
Non skiers visiting Morzine have plenty to do – why not try snow-shoeing, the perfect way to enjoy the beauty of the mountains or maybe paragliding, snow mobiles, helicopter & hot air balloon rides over the snow-capped peaks of Morzine, or you could treat the family to a sleigh ride around the village.
Should you prefer the less energetic option – you can relax outside a traditional alpine restaurant with a glass of ‘vin chaud’ and watch the world go by!
